Your privacy and "E" protection are my
most important concerns. When your
computer is traded in, I completely
erase the hard-drive. I don't mean that
I simply reformat. Reformatting simply
take the electronic-reference away from
the file. After reformatting, most files
can still be viewed using programs that
are easily downloaded from the internet.
Instead, I use a program to write "0s"
to the entire drive. Computer language
is in a binary code of "1s and 0s". By
writing "0s" to the entire drive, any
and all information is written
over...GONE! Then I reformat the
hard-drive and reuse it. You can be
assured that your private information is
completely gone! |

Today, there are many companies offering
free security software to individuals. I
almost always install AVG free
anti-virus and anti-spyware on used
computers. After testing the program for
over a year, I found that it protected
my computers as well as the programs
that cost over $40.00. In fact. AVG
protects as well as the more famous
programs and allows the computer to run
smoothly without bogging down! |
